El día de hoy, 19 de abril, se estrena en la PC y el OS X The Banner Saga 2, la secuela del juego indie RPG-táctico desarrollado por Stoic y publicado por Versus Evil. Esta entrega también se espera que llegue al Xbox One y al PlayStation 4 en el futuro cercano pero aún no hay una fecha concreta (de hecho desde que se anunció se esperaba para el año pasado pero se retrasó como se podrán imaginar).
En The Banner Saga 2 continúa la aventura vikinga épica poco después de donde quedaron los eventos anteriores. Las elecciones que tomamos en el primer juego afectarán a quienes estarán vivos y quienes permanecerán muertos en la secuela. El mundo a tu alrededor continúa derrumbándose, y sigues siendo la una esperanza que hay, así que los difíciles sacrificios te esperan.
En cuanto a la banda sonora, como en la entrega pasada, una vez más es compuesta por Austin Wintory, músico que se dio a la fama por otros excelentes scores como el de flOw y Journey (desarrollados por Thatgamecompany). La música es interpretada por la Sinfónica de Colorado con participación en el violín de Taylor Davis y voces de Árstíðir, Peter Hollens, Malukah y Holly Sedillos.
