Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams es una serie de televisión de ciencia ficción y de antología basada por supuesto en los trabajos del notable escritor estadounidense de este género literario, Philip K. Dick. Cada episodio de la serie se inspirará en una historia corta de este escritor que no se relacionarán con los otros capítulos (que en total serán 10). Electric Dreams contará con la actuación de varios actores conocidos, como Steve Buscemi, Anna Paquin, Mireille Enos, Terrence Howard, Timothy Spall, Jack Reynor, Benedict Wong y Bryan Cranston (quien también tiene crédito como productor ejecutivo).
Uno de los episodios, “The Commuter”, se basa en el cuento corto del mismo nombre en donde se relata la historia de un gerente de una estación de trenes que se encuentra con un viajero que habla sobre una ciudad que no se puede encontrar en el mapa. Otro capítulo, “Human Is”, inspirado en la historia corta homónima, se centra en una mujer que se enfrenta al regreso de su emocionalmente abusivo esposo, quien acaba de llegar de una misión realizada en un moribundo planeta, pero se dará cuenta que él ha cambiado: su mente ha sido reemplazada por un ser extraterrestre de ese otro mundo.

Para quien no lo sepa, varios de los trabajos de Dick han sido adaptados en la pantalla grande, como en 1982 con Blade Runner (la cual tendrá secuela este año), en 1990 con El Vengador del Futuro/Total Recall (la cual tuvo remake en el 2012) y en el 2002 con Minority Report: Sentencia Previa.
