The Acolyte es una serie de televisión estadounidense del género de ciencia ficción, acción, misterio y aventuras creada por Leslye Headland y con las actuaciones de Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss y Margarita Levieva.

Este show, que contará con ocho episodios, tiene programado estrenar globalmente sus primeros dos capítulos este 4 de junio, exclusivamente a través de Disney+.

La trama en esta producción de Lucasfilm forma parte del universo de Star Wars y toma lugar al final de la era de la Alta República, aproximadamente cien años antes que la bien conocida Saga de Skywalker (que comprende el tiempo que transcurre entre las nueve películas principales de la franquicia).

Aquí seguiremos a Mae (Stenberg), una antigua padawan que ahora es una peligrosa guerrera quien se vuelve a reunir con Sol (Lee), su antiguo y respetado maestro Jedi, para investigar una serie de crímenes. Pero pronto se enfrentarán a fuerzas más siniestras de lo que hubieran anticipado.

El día de hoy se publicó el primer tráiler oficial de este proyecto que los interesados podrán ver más abajo en la entrada, ya sea con subtítulos o con el doblaje en español latino.
